Health care products distributor Henry Schein Inc. has created an Ebola relief charity and offered to match employee donations, the Melville company said Thursday.

The Henry Schein Ebola Relief Fund was established through the Henry Schein Cares Foundation, and donations will be applied directly to the CDC Foundation, which assists the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other relief organizations.

Henry Schein Cares also is donating protective equipment to blunt the West Africa outbreak, which has caused more than 3,000 deaths.

Henry Schein is Long Island's largest company based on revenue.
