Melville-based medical office supplier Henry Schein Inc. on Wednesday said it has created a new position of vice president, chief global communications officer -- and it has filled the job.
The new executive, Gerard K. Meuchner, is a former communications director at Eastman Kodak Co. He will be based in Melville, at the Schein headquarters.
Meuchner will manage the corporate brand to the public, and with customers, suppliers, shareholders and employees.
"As Henry Schein continues to grow and expand into new markets and geographies, we are committed to reinforcing and promoting the strength and value of the Henry Schein brand globally among all of our key constituencies," chairman and chief executive Stanley Bergman said in a statement Wednesday.
Before working at Eastman Kodak, Meuchner was a founding member of the Bloomberg financial news service.
