Long Island hires and promotions: Dr. Luga Podesta, St. Charles Hospital

Dr. Luga Podesta, of East Setauket, has joined the medical staff of St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson as a sports medicine physiatrist. He had a similar position with the Kerlan-Jobe Orthopaedic Clinic in Los Angeles. He practices with St. Charles Orthopedics in East Setauket.
Richard Bias, of Coram, has been named assistant dean and chief operating officer for ambulatory operations at Stony Brook Medicine. He was chief operating officer at the Lahey Clinic in Burlington, Massachusetts.
BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
The Business Information Network of Long Island has appointed two new members to its board of directors.
Joseph Capone, a resident of Bellmore, has been named board vice president. He is president of Total Fire Protection located in Bellmore and Brooklyn.
Keith Gutstein, who lives in Hewlett, has been named board secretary. He is a partner in the law firm of Kaufman Dolowich & Voluck LLP in Woodbury.
Marc Solomon, a resident of Oceanside and the owner of Solomon's Jewelers in Plainview, has been elected to the board of directors to the Natural Color Diamond International Association.
TECHNOLOGY
Josh Morris, of Centerport, has been hired as vice president of North American sales for Cytegic in Hackensack, New Jersey, an Israeli cybersecurity startup. He will also be working out of the Manhattan office. He was vice president of sales at BAE Systems Applied Intelligence in Manhattan.
EDUCATION
Cheryl Fontana, of Seaford, has been hired for the new job of director of fine and performing arts and adult education in the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District. She has been a district English teacher and administrator and director of the middle school drama club.

Nicole Larrauri, of Huntington, has been named president of The EGC Group in Melville. She was a managing partner.
REAL ESTATE
Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage, Bellmore and Merrick, has a new hire and a promotion.
Cheryl Stevens, of Smithtown, has been promoted to branch office manager for the Bellmore and Merrick offices and will continue as manager in the Massapequa Park office
Helena Born, of Manhasset, has been hired as assistant manager for Bellmore, Merrick and Massapequa Park. She was a sales agent at Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Manhasset.
