Entrepreneurs going global is the topic of a half-day event next Wednesday at Hofstra University.

The local office of the federal Department of Commerce’s U.S. Commercial Service has organized the free event, which runs from 8 to 11 a.m. at the Hofstra University Club in Uniondale.

Elaine Brennan, managing director for pharmaceutical ventures at Northwell Health, will give the keynote address.

There also will be a panel discussion about how small businesses should export their goods and services, featuring advice from executives of health care companies, banks and law firms.
