Home Depot hiring 500 associates due to Sandy

Home Depot has announced that it is hiring 500 temporary employees in New York, including Long Island, and New Jersey, in the wake of superstorm Sandy. (Oct. 17, 2012) Credit: James Carbone
Home Depot announced today that the company is hiring 500 associates for its stores in the Metro New York and New Jersey areas, including Long Island, because of the "impact of Superstorm Sandy."
The Atlanta-based company said its temporary positions include sales associates, lot associates and cashiers. Home Depot locations that are hiring include stores on Long Island and in Staten Island, Brooklyn, Queens and the Jersey Shore area.
