Homes by Mara to renovate former Angelina’s II for new HQ

Homes by Mara Realty, a 5-year-old residential brokerage based in Syosset, is investing nearly $1.3 million to purchase and expand a former Italian eatery into a two-story office headquarters.
Currently operating out of a 2,000-square-foot space at 567 Jericho Tpke. in Syosset, Homes by Mara, founded by real estate broker Mara Navaretta in 2010, plans to renovate and expand the 3,000-square-foot former Angelina’s II restaurant in Syosset to a 4,000-square-foot, two-story building.
The company, which has 40 agents, doubled from $50 million in home sales in 2012 to $100 million in 2015.
“Our move . . . is indicative of the continual growth that Homes by Mara has seen over the last five years,” Navaretta said in a statement.
The company expects to open the new office in May.
