Long Island will finally learn how green it and New York State are at the Island’s largest trade show later this month. David Winchester, owner of CleanTech Rocks.com, a Hauppauge-based company promoting green concepts, is slated to disclose some details of a yearlong, state-funded study into how many green companies there are in the state and what kind of green courses colleges and universities are teaching.
Winchester will be releasing some of the details of the study at the Hauppauge Industrial Association’s 23rd annual Long Island Business Trade Show & Conference, the Island’s largest such show. It’s scheduled for May 26 at Suffolk County Community College’s campus in Brentwood.
“We’re finding out a lot of things” about what’s green in the state and the Island, said Winchester. “We’ll have some of the results” at the trade show.
Winchester will chair two panels at the show, which generally attracts about 4,000 visitors and 365 exibitors. Keynote speaker will be Babylon Town Supervisor Steve Bellone.
