Teq, a Huntington-based technology company, plans to hire 30 sales people within the next three months, a top executive said Monday.

Teq specializes in professional development courses for teachers and school administrators and has provided robots to several schools for use with students.

Company president Chris Hickey said, "My goal is to grow Teq quickly and be one of the fastest growing technology companies on Long Island."

He said he wants to recruit sales people for three training classes, with 10 people in each class.

The base salary is $40,000 per year but could grow to $140,000 depending on individual performance, he said.
