Long Island Children’s Museum and a rest stop on the Long Island Expressway in Dix Hills are featured in a new television commercial aimed at getting more people to visit New York State this winter.
The 30-second ad is one of two in a “winter marketing campaign” announced Thursday by Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo.
The I Love NY ads will air on TV stations in the northeast through Feb. 19
“We are building on our past success, and leveraging our natural assets to bring more visitors to New York during the winter season,” Cuomo said.
Tourism is a key industry on Long Island and in the state. Cuomo said 21 percent of tourist spending occurs in the winter, or more than $13 billion in 2015.
