The Islip-based private jet charter company ExcelAire says it is adding two Bombardier Global 5000 aircraft to its fleet.

One, a 16-seater, will be based in Columbus, Ohio. The other Global, which seats 13, will be based at ExcelAire's MacArthur Airport facility in Islip, the company said in a news release.

ExcelAire described the Bombardier Global 5000 as "a super large business jet that is capable of flying directly from the United States to Europe at high speeds, close to 5,000 nautical miles nonstop at Mach 0.80." It said the 16-seat configuration can fly 4,800 miles nonstop; and the 13-seat Global 5000 can fly 5,200 miles nonstop.

ExcelAire has office and hangar space at MacArthur, and stations its jets at airports in White Plains (HPN); Teterboro (TEB) and Morristown (MMU) in New Jersey; Wilmington, Del., (ILG); and Columbus, Ohio (CMH).
