Look for Joan Cear of Jamesport Monday morning doing the TV thing on the Today show.

As president of the New York Women in Communications Foundation, she’ll be introducing that organization’s 19 scholarship winners, all high school or college students looking to pursue careers in communication.

After that they’ll all be hiking over to the Waldorf for the New York Women in Communications’ Matrix Awards Luncheon, honoring some powerhouse women.

“Who knows,” says Cear, “maybe by the end of the day I’ll be BFF with Tina Fey, Sheryl Crow, Gayle King (and her pal, Oprah), Ina Garten, Katie Couric, and other “Women Who Change the World”…oh and Brian Williams, too.”  (He's emcee.)
