Suffolk County will be hosting a two upcoming job fairs starting Friday with a hiring event focused on helping veterans find employment.

The first event, which will be held at the Half Hollow Hills Community Library at 55 Vanderbilt Pkwy in Dix Hills and runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. The job fair will reserve the first hour strictly for military veterans looking for work.

Members of the general public are invited to attend the event starting at 2 p.m.

Employers scheduled to attend include Citation Healthcare Labels, the Suffolk County Police Dept., Winter Bro’s Waste Systems and Momentum Solar.

The following Wednesday, Oct. 19, the county will be hosting a job fair at the BOCES-H. B. Ward Technical Center located at 970 N Griffing Ave. in Riverhead. The event, which runs from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m., is scheduled to feature employers including Amazon, Life’s WORC, and textile firm Maharam.
