Laboring on Labor Day weekend

Oh no!

Seems like plenty of people are laboring over Labor Day weekend.

Look at what people say they’ll be doing the next few days – working, albeit at home doing chores or yard work. That’s what 59 percent of 1,014 U.S. adults said in a survey done Aug. 26 to 29 for Melville-based staffing firm Adecco.

Twenty-two percent said they’ll be working at their regular jobs.

Only 9 percent expected to kick back and be on vacation, watch television or do nothing.

Still, 20 percent said they expect to contemplate their futures – new jobs or career options.
