Lawyer gets Pro Bono award
Charles S. Sherman of Huntington has been named Pro Bono Attorney of the Year by the Nassau County Bar Association for volunteering more than 1,400 hours on matrimonial cases in the Volunteer Lawyers Project, an organization providing legal assistance to low-income residents.
Sherman, who practices in Huntington, is a member of the association’s matrimonial law and appellate practice committees, among others.
He is also a member of the New York State Bar Association’s family law and general practices committees and the New York Family Law American Inns of Court.
