Denise R. Langweber of Merrick has been named Small Business Person of the Year by the Wantagh Chamber of Commerce based on her achievements in the field.

Langweber is the Wantagh chamber’s first vice president and a practicing attorney at Wantagh-based Denise R. Langweber Llp, where she specializes in representing buyers, sellers and lenders in residential real estate transactions.

She is also the former real estate counsel to the New York Police Department’s Sergeants Benevolent Association and a member of the Nassau County Bar Association, Long Island Housing Partnership and Action Long Island.
