Leviton buys Florida company

Leviton Manufacturing Co., of Melville, has bought a Florida-based maker of electric meters.
No dollar figure was disclosed in Wednesday's announcement of the Integrated Metering Systems buy.
IMS products are used to control and manage energy use and costs. It makes metering systems that quantify electrical use for tenant billing, energy management, solar production and cost accounting.
"With the addition of IMS' precise energy measurement and verification systems, Leviton can now offer its customers an integrated solution for achieving their sustainability goals and green building programs," Charles Wilde, founder and president of IMS, said in a news release.
