Wayne Galante

Wayne Galante of Levittown recently received the Ray Kroc Award, an annual performance-based award that recognizes the top 1 percent of McDonald’s restaurant managers throughout the United States.

Galante, who got his first job at McDonald’s at age 16, is the manager of the McDonald’s in Uniondale and is also president of the Uniondale Chamber of Commerce. He is credited with helping to curb violence in the community through a unique program that rewards local students with free food at McDonald’s for good behavior and random acts of kindness.
