LI company offers daily deals on car care

A Plainview company, WheelsNeedDeals.com, has launched its first automotive daily deal site offering discounted car care to residents of Long Island and Queens.

It lists two companies offering two deals.

Family Auto, of Baldwin, offers an oil change package with tire rotation and safety check for $12, an 86 percent discount, the company said. The first five buyers will get an extra 5 percent off.

Bethpage Car Wash, Bethpage, offers a package of two "Ritz-level" car washes for $16, a 68 percent discount, with another 5 percent deducted for the first five buyers.

Each automotive discount will be offered for seven days on WheelsNeedDeals.com to all members of the site. Registration is required, and vouchers will be sent to customers by email.

WheelsNeedDeals co-founder Jimmy Palakis said in a prepared statement that the company "offers a practical solution that will allow everyday drivers to properly maintain their cars without denting their wallets, with our significant discounts."

"Having just launched this week, the site already has 1500 members throughout Long Island signed up to receive practical and much needed group discount deals on everything from oil changes and tire rotation to car washes and body work," the company said in a prepared statement.
