Members of the Long Island Import Export Association are taking a field trip Thursday to visit a container terminal run by the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey

For $50 a head, members and guests will travel by bus from the Hilton Hotel in Melville to the Maher Terminal in Port Elizabeth, N.J., where they will check out a rail line and then view vessel operations of a K Line America vessel in port.

The trip, which is already sold out, ends at 5 p.m. back on Long Island.  Shown above are containers aboard a ship at a Port Authority dock.
