An Old Bethpage nonprofit group will host a free job fair for people with disabilities at Farmingdale State College on Jan. 31 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Family Residence and Essential Enterprises Inc. will hold its Talent Connection fair, aimed at aiding the job search of people with autism and other disabilities as well as veterans who suffer from post-traumatic stress disorder and traumatic brain injuries.

So far 15 employers are scheduled to participate. They include Brookhaven National Lab and Cold Spring Harbor Lab; Amneal Pharmaceuticals and New York Community Bank.

“People who are differently-abled offer unlimited talent to employers and the community,” said Robert S. Budd, the group’s chief executive,“ and together we can create socially responsible workforce opportunities for them.”

The nonprofit offers a variety of services to the disabled including, housing, recovery and transition to work.

The event will take place in the college’s Roosevelt Hall and also includes workshops.
