Two medical device manufacturers in Nassau County are planning to expand, records show.

Genadyne Biotechnologies Inc., based in Westbury, produces wound care treatments. Lucina Advanced Care Inc., with operations in Hicksville and Fort Lauderdale, Fla., makes breast pumps.

The companies are jointly seeking tax breaks from the Nassau County Industrial Development Agency to purchase and make improvements to two buildings that they already operate from.

The companies are eligible for sales-tax exemptions on equipment purchases, reductions in the mortgage recording tax and property tax relief.

The IDA board is expected to consider the project Thursday night.

Genadyne and Lucina aren’t asking for help to purchase a Plainview building that will eventually house a manufacturing operation.

The IDA also will consider an application from commercial properties owner, Long Island Industrial Management, to modernize 13 office and industrial buildings, primarily in Hicksville.
