HEALTH CARE

Elisabeth Vallone has been promoted to director of critical care services for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. The West Babylon resident was previously nurse manager of a medical intensive care unit.

BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS

Dr. Kenneth Steier has been named to the national editorial advisory board of The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association. The Melville resident is the dean of clinical education at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Manhattan.

E. Christopher Murray has been elected to the board of directors of Literacy Nassau. The Stony Brook resident is a partner in the litigation department at Ruskin Moscou Faltischek in Uniondale, and chair of the firm's environmental practice group.

REAL ESTATE

Sharon Bloch has joined Coach Real Estate Associates as a licensed associate broker in the Stony Brook office. The Setauket resident previously held a similar position at Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty.
