Elisabeth Vallone has been promoted to director of critical care services for Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. The West Babylon resident was previously nurse manager of a medical intensive care unit.

Dr. Kenneth Steier has been named to the national editorial advisory board of The Journal of the American Osteopathic Association. The Melville resident is the dean of clinical education at the Touro College of Osteopathic Medicine in Manhattan.
