BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
Dr. Richard Nattis has been elected to the board of Child Abuse Prevention Services in Roslyn. The Syosset resident is medical director at Lindenhurst Eye Physicians and Surgeons and chief of the department of ophthalmology at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip.
Clarence F. Michalis has been elected president of the board of trustees at Nassau County Museum of Art in Roslyn Harbor. He most recently served as vice president on the board and was president from 1995 to 1997. The Locust Valley resident is retired from Bristol-Myers Squibb, where he served as chief financial officer.
EDUCATION
Barbara Chernow has been promoted to senior vice president for administration at Stony Brook University. Since 2007 the Syosset resident has served as president of the university's faculty student association, the not-for-profit organization that provides dining, retail and other auxiliary services to the Stony Brook campus community.
