BOARDS & ASSOCIATIONS
Alexander G. Bateman Jr. was elected to the board of directors at United Way of Long Island. The Bayport resident is a partner at the Uniondale law firm Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. 

Denise Pearsall has been named president of the board of The Framingham Foundation, a Riverhead-based private family foundation established in 2001 that donates funds to Eastern Long Island nonprofit organizations involved in the needs of children and families. The Manorville resident is also a partner with her husband in South Shore Remodeling in Manorville

Dr. Philip Schrank was named chairman of the medical board and president of the medical staff of St. Charles Hospital in Port Jefferson. The Setauket resident is an orthopedic surgeon in private practice. 

Calvin O. Butts III has been elected to serve as director of The Levin Institute in Manhattan, which conducts research and engages in public discourse on the dynamics of the global economy and the impact of such on the state and nation. He is president of SUNY College at Old Westbury, where he lives. 

David P. Leno has been named to the New York State Board of Real Estate, which has authority to enact rules and regulations affecting the real estate industry in New York State. The West Hempstead resident is a partner at the Uniondale law firm of Ruskin Moscou Faltischek. 

EDUCATION
Emily Mills has been named early childhood director at the Ridgewood YMCA in Queens. The Massapequa resident was a second-grade teacher at Bascombe Elementary school in Woodstock, Ga. 

Stuart J. Udell of Melville has been promoted to president and chief executive at Catapult Learning in Camden, N.J. He was promoted from chief operating officer. 

FINANCE
Bridgehampton National Bank announced two promotions. James J. Manseau of Rocky Point was promoted to executive vice president and chief retail banking officer from senior vice president. Kevin L. Santacroce was promoted to executive vice president and chief lending officer. The Southold resident was senior vice president. 

Gregory Fitzgerald was named director of business development at Kildare Capital, an investment bank headquartered in Philadelphia, and will work out of a Cold Spring Harbor location. He was a vice president/business banker at JPMorgan Chase in Rockville Centre and lives in Cold Spring Harbor

Lauren Pastrich King has joined Compass Financial Group in Plainview as vice president. She was an associate brand manager at Sara Lee Corp. in Chicago and lives in Port Washington

Christopher M. Sbrocchi was promoted to vice president, derivatives operations risk, at Goldman Sachs & Co. in Jersey City. The Glen Cove resident was an associate. 

Ken Fazio has been promoted to senior vice president, national production manager at Arbor Commercial Mortgage in Uniondale. The Wantagh resident was vice president, national sales manager. 

Bruce A. Lev has joined the Melville accounting firm of Nussbaum Yates Berg Klein & Wolpow as tax partner. He held a similar position at WeiserMazars in Manhattan and lives in Great Neck

GOVERNMENT
Port Jefferson resident, Jill Nees-Russell, was appointed consultant on economic development and public relations for the Village of Port Jefferson. The public relations veteran is president of the Parent Teachers Association at the Edna Louise Spear Elementary School and public relations volunteer at the Children's Maritime Museum, both in Port Jefferson

The First District Southern Region of the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary announced two appointments: North Merrick resident  Hal Marschall was promoted from chief of staff to district commodore. He is retired after 25 years in the finance industry. Vincent T. Pica of Westhampton Beach was promoted to district chief of staff from district captain. He is managing partner and president at Safanad, an investment firm in Manhattan.

HEALTH CARE
Kevin Koubek has joined John T. Mather Memorial Hospital in Port Jefferson as director of project management. He was director of planning and engineering for the Village of Port Jefferson for 20 years and lives in Mount Sinai.

Kate Schneider has been promoted to Reflections programming specialist at Bristal Assisted Living. Reflections is a program for those suffering from Alzheimer's disease and dementia. The Seaford resident was director of the Reflections Memory Enhancement Programs at the East Meadow and Massapequa facilities.

Dr. Robert A. Edelman has been named acting chairman of the department of urology at Winthrop-University Hospital in Mineola. He's been an attending physician since 1979 and director of cryotherapy since 2007. The Mill Neck resident is also an assistant clinical professor at Stony Brook University School of Medicine.

HUMAN RESOURCE MANAGEMENT
Dan Margolis has joined Prestige Employee Administrators in Melville as vice president, human resources/client services. The Merrick resident was senior human resource business partner at ADP TotalSource in Melville.

LAW
Anthony T. Wladyka III has joined Rosenberg Fortuna & Laitman in Garden City as counsel in areas that include commercial, corporate and real estate litigation. The Malverne resident was a senior associate at Proskauer Rose in Manhattan.  

Rosevelie Márquez Morales has been promoted to partner at Harris Beach in Manhattan. She was an associate at the firm and lives in Merrick.

Pierre Bazile has joined Marrone Law Group in Middle Village, as an associate concentrating in criminal law and personal injury litigation. He is a retired New York City police officer and lives in Huntington.

MANUFACTURING
Jeffrey D. Fullmer was named watershed and regulatory services coordinator at Fabco Industries in Farmingdale. Fabco designs and produces stormwater pollution control technology. The Patchogue resident was director of the Long Island South Shore Estuary Reserve Program for the New York Department of State and South Shore Estuary Reserve Council.
