LI security firm expands with 3 acquisitions

World Wide Security, a Garden City provider of intrusion and fire alarm systems for homes, businesses and school districts, has added three firms to its group of companies.

Two of the acquired companies are on Long Island and the other is in New York City.

World Wide did not disclose financial terms in its purchases of Dart Security of Woodbury; Access One Security of Commack; and LSG Security Systems of the Bronx.

"These acquisitions will help us achieve the ability to increase delivery of quality security solutions and technology to a growing marketplace in the region,” Ken Mara, the company chief executive, above, said in a Thursday news release.

Access One had already established a long-term connection to World Wide before the purchase, using World Wide’s central station for its accounts.

Dart Security’s market is in both Nassau and Suffolk counties. LSG’s is in Westchester County and in the city, where World Wide hopes to expand.

News of the transactions came after a December announcement from World Wide that it had expanded its revolving line of credit from $5 million to $8 million and would use that money to fund acquisitions of up to six companies.
