Garden City-based Lifetime Brands Inc. has entered into an agreement to acquire Focus Kitchen, a division of Focus Products Group International LLC, headquartered in Lincolnshire, Illinois.

Under the letter of intent, Lifetime Brands, a global provider of branded kitchenware, tableware and other products, including Farberware and KitchenAid, would purchase Focus Product Group’s kitchen division, which sells products under the Amco Houseworks, Chicago Metallic and Swing-A-Way brands, company officials announced Wednesday.

The companies plan to sign a definitive purchase agreement and close the transaction in the next two weeks. Terms were not disclosed.

“We are delighted to add Focus Kitchen’s iconic brands, which complement Lifetime’s existing bakeware and kitchenware businesses,” Jeffrey Siegel, Lifetime’s chairman and chief executive, said in a statement.

Founded in 2001, Focus Products Group provides bath, home fashion and houseware items for retail and commercial spaces. The company’s other brands include Sure Fit, Patio Armor, West Bend, Vinturi, Hookless and Arc & Angles. Focus is a portfolio company of Centre Lanes Partners LLC, a private investment firm based in Manhattan.

“We are pleased to see the Focus Kitchen brands find an excellent home with Lifetime, allowing us to concentrate on our core brands and businesses,” Marc Navarre, Focus’ president and chief executive, said in a statement.
