Executives from Carle Place-based 1-800-FLOWERS were featured in the premiere segment of  "Bloomberg the Mentor" on Bloomberg Television.

The series follows successful chief executives as they advise small business owners one-on-one.

Bloomberg producers give the following description of the show:

"Owners of small businesses are often hamstrung by their lack of experience. On 'Bloomberg the Mentor,' chief executives from some of the nation's biggest brands come to the rescue, offering advice and a new strategy.

"Can the experienced pros coach small business owners from start-up to success? And will the small business owners use their advice to turn a profit?

Other episodes include chief executives of The Boston Beer Co., Jamba Juice and Seventh Generation.
