Long Island hires and promotions: Teri Pereira, Brownyard Group, Bay Shore

INSURANCE

Teri Pereira has been promoted from underwriting assistant at the Brownyard Group in Bay Shore to account manager of its program for the domestic cosmetics industry.

FINANCE

Aaron D. Lieberman of Old Bethpage has been promoted from senior financial adviser to managing principal at Wells Fargo Advisors Financial Network in Melville.

REAL ESTATE

Laura Carroll of Garden City has joined the Garden City office of Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty as a sales agent. She was a saleswoman with The Donnelly Group in Garden City.

Signature Premier Properties has hired two new agents.

Elizabeth Pagano of Huntington has been hired as a licensed saleswoman in the Huntington office. She was a real estate sales agent with European American Specialists in Huntington.

Cynthia Vando of Oyster Bay has been hired as a licensed associate real estate broker in the Cold Spring Harbor office. She had a similar job at Daniel Gale Sotheby's International Realty in East Norwich.

Ed Bruehl of East Hampton has joined Saunders & Associates in Bridgehampton as a licensed associate real estate broker. He had a similar job with Sotheby's Internationl Realty in East Hampton.

Michael Capilets of Smithtown has been appointed to the board of directors of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Long Island. He is a managing director at SVAM International Inc. in Great Neck.

Albert Voorneveld has been elected president of the Council of Administrators and Supervisors in Hauppauge. He retired as a principal in the Copiague Union Free School District.

NONPROFITS

Ann Fangmann of Rockville Centre has been promoted from director of programs to executive director of Sustainable Long Island in Farmingdale, which promotes community revitalization, brownfield redevelopment and food access initiatives.

Peter Stein of Kings Park has been hired as a sales executive at Didit in Mineola. He was a sales executive at Lorraine Gregory Communications in Farmingdale.

Kiera J. Meehan of Lynbrook has been named partner at Sokoloff Stern in Carle Place. She has focused on civil litigation and civil rights and was an associate.

Jacqueline A. Fink of Stony Brook has joined the law firm of Glynn Mercep and Purcell in Stony Brook as an associate. She was a partner at Druckman Law Group in Westbury.

EDUCATION

Peter J. Melore of Smithtown has been appointed the new, permanent executive director of health, physical education, recreation and athletics for the Three Village Central School District. He was director of physical education, health, intramurals, athletics and recreation in the Roslyn school district.
