Carole Polney of Lindenhurst has been appointed director of digital learning, innovation and instructional technology in the Connetquot Central School District. She was assistant superintendent for technology and administrative services in the Amityville Union Free School District.

Amy Jensen of Centerport has been hired as Long Island store manager at IKEA in Hicksville. She managed an IKEA store in Las Vegas.
