Theodore J. Imbasciani of Bohemia, retired from the U.S. Marine Corps and New York Police Department, is a trustee on the Connetquot CSD school board.
Stephen L. Gessner of Shelter Island is president of the nonprofit Council for International Culture and Education, and is a member of the Shelter Island school board.

Two people have been promoted to deputy chief credit officer at Empire National Bank in Islandia.
Raffaella Palazzo, of West Islip, was previously vice president in credit administration.
Matthew Ruppert of Bohemia was previously vice president and portfolio manager.
