Long Island hires and promotions: Jessica Anson, Long Island Farm Bureau

AGRICULTURE

Jessica Anson of Yaphank has been appointed as the new public policy director for the Long Island Farm Bureau in Calverton. She joins the Farm Bureau after graduating from Cornell University with a degree in natural resources.

EDUCATION

Duane Bailey of Ronkonkoma is the new director of intercollegiate athletics and recreation at New York Institute of Technology in Old Westbury. He served as the deputy director of athletics at Seton Hall University in South Orange, New Jersey.

Christine Austen of Mount Sinai has been named principal of Earl L. Vandermeulen High School in the Port Jefferson School District. She was dean of students, technology integration specialist and library media specialist.

BANKING

Meaghan Sheehan of Long Beach has been named senior vice president and commercial private banking co-team leader at BankUnited in Manhattan. She worked at Clickpay in Manhattan, a division of Novelpay LLC, where she served as vice president and director of sales.
