Long Island hires and promotions: John Dreska, Vincent Smith School

EDUCATION

John Dreska, of Rockville Centre, has been appointed alumni associate of the alumni relations department at the Vincent Smith School in Port Washington. He was director of athletics at the school.

Marnie Hazelton, of Freeport, has been appointed as the interim superintendent of the Roosevelt Union Free School District. She was assistant superintendent for elementary education in Roosevelt.

LAW

Winnie Chung, of Huntington, has been appointed a legal analyst for the Schlitt Law Firm in Huntington. She was a vice president at Goldman Sachs in Manhattan.

HEALTH CARE

James Spencer, of West Hempstead, has been appointed senior vice president for mission and ministry for Catholic Health Services in Rockville Centre. He was vice president of mission, ethics and spirituality for Trinity Health's Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa.

Janine Logan, of Babylon, director of communications at the Nassau-Suffolk Hospital Council in Hauppauge, has been promoted to senior director for communications and population health.

Dr. Howard Balbi, of East Meadow, has been named associate chairman of pediatrics at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center and medical director of the Center for Pediatric Specialty Care, both in West Islip. He is director of pediatric infectious diseases at Good Samaritan and an associate professor at Stony Brook University School of Medicine and New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine in Old Westbury.

Dr. Donald Teplitz, of Merrick, has been named senior vice president of medical affairs and chief medical officer at Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. He had served as the associate chief medical officer and chief quality officer.

REAL ESTATE

John Crafton, of Amityville has been hired as an associate broker for Marcus & Millichap, in Manhattan. He was an investment sales specialist at Besen & Associates, Manhattan.

Erica Anderson, of Dix Hills, has joined Douglas Elliman Real Estate in Dix Hills as a licensed sales associate. She was a legal assistant for Mara S. Manin Esq. in Melville.

Signature Premier Properties has announced some new hires.

Deborah Berkman, of Bay Shore, has been hired as saleswoman in the Babylon office. She was in sales with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Babylon.

Warren Wendt, of Syosset, has been hired as a salesman in the Syosset office. He was in sales with Douglas Elliman in Plainview.
