Long Island hires and promotions: Mark S. Warshavsky, American Arbitration Association

Mark S. Warshavsky of Woodbury, partner in charge of business valuation and litigation services at Gettry Marcus CPA in Woodbury, has been admitted as an arbitrator/mediator to the national roster of arbitrators of the American Arbitration Association in Manhattan.

Robert B. Catell of Garden City, chairman of the Advanced Energy Research and Technology Center at Stony Brook University and of the New York State Smart Grid Consortium, has been appointed to the board of advisers at Gold Coast Bank in Islandia.

EDUCATION

Bryan Miltenberg of Greenpoint, Brooklyn, has been named assistant principal of Islip Middle School. He was middle school dean at Scholars’ Academy in Rockaway Park, Queens.

Yvonne Knott of Kings Park, executive assistant for information management in the Massapequa School District, has been named the director of information management.

Craig Gielarowski of Levittown has been named assistant principal of West Islip High School. He was dean of students, curriculum coordinator and science teacher for the New York City Department of Education at BELL Academy in Bayside, Queens.
