Long Island hires and promotions: Melissa Hershfield, South Nassau Communities Hospital

Melissa Hershfield of Somers has been named assistant vice president for regulatory affairs, performance improvement and management at South Nassau Communities Hospital in Oceanside. She is also director-at-large of the state chapter of the National Association for Healthcare Quality in Commack and was the nursing and quality management executive at Manhattan Eye, Ear and Throat Hospital.

Jivanna Okolica of North Hills has been hired as a sales agent at Laffey Real Estate in Great Neck. She was a clinical social worker in the Rockville Centre school district.
