Long Island hires and promotions: Nicholas Schroeder, Three Village Central School District

Nicholas Schroeder of St. James has been appointed interim executive director of health, physical education and athletics for the Three Village Central School District. He had a similar job in the Smithtown Central district and held interim positions for several districts.
Jonathon Rufa of Medford has been appointed new assistant principal of R.C. Murphy Jr. High School in the Three Village Central School District. He was dean of students and, most recently, transitional lead teacher for athletics at both junior highs.
Kathleen Connolly of Farmingdale has been appointed principal of East Elementary School in Long Beach. She was an assistant principal and held administrative roles with the Baldwin school district, directing curriculum for the past five years.
Sarah Thompson of Northport has been hired as new director of admissions at Long Island Lutheran Middle & High School in Brookville. She was a lower school coordinator at St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's School in Manhattan.
