Patricia E. Salkin of Bay Shore, dean of Touro Law Center in Central Islip, was appointed the Touro graduate and professional division interim provost.
Timothy Hellmuth of Smithtown has been hired as assistant principal at Northwest Elementary School in the Amityville School District. He came from the Smithtown School District, where he was a math coach and teacher.
Joseph Tapler of Bellport has been hired as assistant principal at Rocky Point High School. He was assistant principal at Joseph A. Edgar Intermediate School.

Ryen Sherman of Syosset was promoted to vice president at investment consultant Segal Rogerscasey in Manhattan. He previously was a senior consultant.
FINANCE
Marc Valente of East Northport has been promoted to tax director in the private company services practice at PricewaterhouseCoopers in Melville. He previously was a tax manager.
