Long Island hires and promotions: Dr. Patricia Hanlon, NY State Dental Association

Dr. Patricia Hanlon of Wading River has been appointed to the New York State Dental Association's new committee on dental Medicaid, representing Suffolk County. She practices pediatric dentistry in Riverhead with her husband, Dr. Terry Sanders, a general dentist.

Dr. Guenter Jonke of East Setauket has been named the chairman of the New York State Dental Association's council on ethics. He is an oral surgeon with offices in Stony Brook, Smithtown and Holbrook, as a partner of Suffolk Oral Surgery Associates LLP.

The Good Samaritan Hospital Foundation board of trustees in West Islip has two new appointed members.

Eileen La Mendola, a resident of Huntington, is a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip.

Sister Cathy Sheehan of Islip is a volunteer at Good Samaritan Hospital in West Islip and also the provincial leader of the Daughters of Wisdom of the United States, operating in Islip.
