Long Island hires and promotions: Peter Scaminaci, Mercy Medical Center

HEALTH CARE

Peter Scaminaci of Garden City, who will continue as executive vice president and chief administrative officer of St. Joseph Hospital in Bethpage, has been named to the same roles at Mercy Medical Center in Rockville Centre.

BOARDS

Kyle Burkhardt of Huntington, senior director at Cushman & Wakefield Inc. in Melville and president of the Commercial Industrial Brokers Society of Long Island in Syosset, has been elected chair of its advisory board.

INSURANCE

Kenneth J. Jones of Huntington has been hired as vice president at SterlingRisk Insurance in Woodbury. He was managing director at Coastal Risk Management in Woodbury and Manhattan.

EDUCATION

Carla Theodorou of Astoria, Queens, has been hired as executive director of the department of regional schools and instruction at Nassau BOCES in Garden City. She was founding principal of Benjamin Franklin High School for Finance & ITin Jamaica, Queens.
