Richard J. Gatteau of Huntington has been appointed vice president for student affairs/dean of students at Stony Brook University, where he had an interim role in the position.

HEALTH CARE

Ruth E. Hennessey of Bronxville has been hired as president of Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip. She was executive vice president and chief administration officer at St. Francis Hospital, the Heart Center in Roslyn.

Janover in Garden City has promoted two senior managers to principals.
