Long Island hires and promotions: Ronald Storch, Long Island Children's Museum

Long Island Children's Museum in Garden City has new board officers and a trustee.

Ronald Storch of Roslyn has been elected board chairman. He is a partner at Berdon LLP with offices in Manhattan and Jericho.

Peter Schapero of Greenlawn has been elected a vice chairman. He is managing principal at The Signature B&B Companies in Garden City.

Thomas Rogers of Huntington has been elected a vice chairman. He is the superintendent of the Syosset Central School District.

Glenn Tyranski of Huntington has been elected treasurer. He is executive director at Ernst & Young in Manhattan.

Philip Malakoff of Great Neck has been elected secretary. He is senior vice president, wealth management, at First Long Island Investors in Jericho.

John J. Gutleber of Brookville has been elected to the board. He is president and CEO of Castagna Realty Co. Inc./Americana Manhasset.
