Dr. Shahram D. Shamekh of Great Neck, who has a private practice in Great Neck, has been hired as an attending physician at Grace Plaza Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Great Neck. He has admitting privileges at Northwell Health in Manhasset, Long Island Jewish in New Hyde Park and St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn.

Andrew Marsano of Melville has been hired as national sales director at Gourmet Factory in Hauppauge, a family-owned maker of edible oils. He was director of food trade at Performance Sales Marketing in Tampa, Florida.

Milissa Z.Y. Woo has been appointed vice president for information technology and chief information officer at Stony Brook University. She was vice provost for information services and CIO at the University of Oregon and is moving to Long Island.
