Cynara Hermes McQuillan of Wantagh has been named assistant director of bar programs and academic development at Touro Law Center in Central Islip. She was a writing specialist and professor of legal writing at New York Law School in Manhattan.

BOARDS

Jay Freeberg of Roslyn Heights has been elected to the board of the International Association of Independent Accounting Firms. He is a partner at Janover in Garden City.

Donald E. Lippencott of East Setauket has been named to the board of the JTM Foundation, a nonprofit in Port Jefferson. He is a principal of Lippencott Financial Group, a consulting firm in East Setauket.

Paul Napoli has been named vice president of power markets for PSEG Long Island in Uniondale. He lives in Wantagh and joins the Long Island team after 35 years with the utility's sister company in Newark.
