Long Island hires and promotions: Tracy Adams, Longwood schools

The Longwood Central School District has appointed five new administrators.

Tracy Adams of Middle Island, assistant principal of the Longwood Middle School in Middle Island, has been named principal of the middle school.

Sam Ahmed of Bay Shore has been named assistant principal of Longwood High School in Middle Island. He was assistant principal for the Transit Tech Career and Technical Education High School in Brooklyn.

Richard A. Kollar of Middle Island has been appointed interim assistant superintendent for human resources. He was interim assistant superintendent of human resources with South Country Central School District.

Lisa Mato of Holbrook, principal of the Longwood Middle School, has been appointed director of special programs and data reporting.

Mary D. Richardson of Port Jefferson Station, director of compensatory education, has been named assistant to the superintendent for administration.
