INSURANCE

Kevin Cominsky of Massapequa has been named account executive at Cook Maran & Associates in their Melville office. He most recently worked for Nicox, Inc. in Fort Worth, Texas, as their national sales field trainer.

LAW

Michael A. Ciaffa of Garden City has joined Forchelli, Curto, Deegan, Schwartz, Mineo & Terrana LLP as counsel in the litigation department. He was a Nassau County District Court judge in Mineola.

BOARDS

Ellen Israelson of Woodbury has been elected to the national board of trustees of the Association of Advisors in Philanthropy in Chicago. She is the vice president of philanthropic services and chief marketing officer at Jewish Communal Fund in Manhattan.

BANKING

William P. McKenna of Fort Salonga has been promoted to senior vice president of M&T Bank in Manhattan. He previously worked as managing director of Eurohypo AG's New York branch in Manhattan.
