SHRM Long Island, the Long Island chapter of the national human resources trade association, Society of Human Resource Management, announced its new officers.

Annette Perry, left, was elected president. She is director of human resources at Empire Merchants in Astoria, a wine and liquor distributor, and lives in Huntington.

Robert Micera, right, was elected president elect. The Manorville resident is director of human resources at the Garden City accounting firm of Margolin, Winer & Evens.

Christel Colon was elected treasurer. She is a human resources business partner at the Brookhaven National Laboratory in Upton and lives in Bethpage. Nicole Quinn was elected secretary. The Huntington resident is director of human resources at the Jericho accounting firm of Grassi & Co.
