People on the Move: Long Island promotions, new jobs

Dr. Tatiana Ambarus, of Port Jefferson, has been hired as an obstetrician and gynecologist at Suffolk OB/GYN, a division of New York Health in Patchogue. Ambarus was a hospitalist at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, New Jersey.

John Sattler, of Laurel Hollow, has been hired as director of small and midsized businesses at Sundack CPA in Melville. Sattler was a CPA at Rosa and Associates in Woodbury.

 Dawn Cagliano, of Brookhaven Hamlet, president of IVCi in Hauppauge, has been elected to the board of directors of HIA-LI in Hauppauge.
 

William E. Martinov, Jr., of Northport, has been hired as vice president of institutional advancement at Nassau Community College in Garden City. Martinov was chief of university alumni engagement and athletics advancement at Long Island University in Brookville. 

Patrise Miller, of Smithtown, has been hired as executive director at FIRST Long Island in Hauppauge. Miller was director of human resources at Schenck USA Corp. in Deer Park.

Valentina LoBello-Batih, of Lindenhurst, branch banking officer at Ridgewood Savings Bank in West Babylon, has been promoted to assistant vice president, branch manager.

Shania R. Queen, of Ridge, has been hired as an associate attorney in trusts and estates group at L'Abbate, Balkan, Colavita & Contini in Melville. Queen was an associate attorney at Frederic Foster Law in Westhampton.

Christina Simona, of Rockville Centre, an intern at Certilman Balin Adler & Hyman in East Meadow, has been promoted to an associate in the condo/coop and HOA department.

Eileen Cooper, of Port Jefferson, membership manager at the CM Performing Arts Center in Oakdale, has been promoted to director of guest experience. 

Francine Newman, of Merrick, vice principal at the Long Beach High School in Long Beach, has been promoted to director of instructional support in the Long Beach Public School District. 

Joe Yacobellis, of Northport, a senior associate and director of design at Mojo Stumer Associates in Greenvale, has been promoted to partner.

Lorna R. Lewis, of Freport, retired superintendent, Malverne Union Free School District, has been elected co-chair of the board of directors of ERASE Racism in Syosset. 

Joan K. Lange, of Westbury, retired assistant superintendent, Amityville School District, has been elected co-chair of the board of directors of ERASE Racism in Syosset.

Wilma Holmes Tootle, of Freeport, co-president of A Better You Consulting Services in Uniondale, has been elected secretary of the board of directors of ERASE Racism in Syosset.

Stuart Gordon, of Dix Hills, a partner at Rivkin Radler in Uniondale, has been elected secretary of the board of directors of the Developmental Disabilities Institute (DDI) in Smithtown.

Marwa Fawaz, of Dix Hills, has been hired as a senior planner at IMEG in Woodbury. Fawaz was director of downtown revitalization and comprehensive planning for the Town of Babylon.

Skye Weichbrodt, of East Islip, has been hired as a graduate planner at IMEG in Woodbury. Weichbrodt is a recent graduate of Virginia Tech University in Blacksburg, Virginia.

Scott Brian Freiberger, of Albertson, has been hired as an assistant principal (grades 3-5) at the Academy of the City Charter School in Woodside, Queens. Freiberger was multilingual education (MLE) instructional coordinator in the East Ramapo Central School District. 

Jessica Kemler, of East Meadow, has been hired as director of curriculum in the Amityville School District. Kemler was district testing coordinator in the Roslyn School District and elementary principal at Harbor Hill School in Greenvale.

Stephen J. Maloney Jr., of Mount Sinai, a senior associate at Napoli Shkolnik in Melville, has been promoted to junior partner.

Jean David Chery, of Commack, has been hired as a tax partner at Anchin in Uniondale. Chery was a tax partner at Grassi in Jericho. 

Tommy Lee, of Woodside, Queens, has been hired as an auto-CAD (computer-aided design) automation and drafting specialist at M&J Engineering in Farmingdale. Lee is a recent graduate of the Yale School of Architecture in New Haven, CT.

Dan Meyer, of Westbury, has been hired as senior director of digital transformation at Austin Williams in Hauppauge. Meyer was a fractional chief marketing officer at VENN Marketing in Dallas, TX.

Alexandra Greenberg, of Shoreham, has been hired as assistant principal at Westhampton Beach High School in Westhampton Beach. Greenberg was principal at George W. Hewlett High School in Hewlett.
