Here are two Long Island companies whose stocks moved significantly during the week ending April 29, 2011.
State Bancorp
(STBC)

$13.20 (week's change: +24.5%)
52-week return: +36.1%
The bank company agreed to be acquired by New Jersey-based Valley National Bancorp in a deal valued at $222 million. State Bank has 13 branches on Long Island and five in Queens.
Standard Microsystems
(SMSC)
Hauppauge
$27.15 (week's change: +4.5%)
52-week return: +5.7%
The company said its Inter-Chip Connectivity technology has been licensed by semiconductor giant Advanced Micro Devices. The technology is used in USB ports and controllers.
