Honorees at this year's Long Island Technology Hall of Fame were Yacov Shamash, vice president for economic development and dean of Stony Brook University's College of Engineering & Applied Sciences; and Jacob Lamm, executive vice president for strategy and corporate development at Islandia-based CA Technologies Inc.

The awards were given at an event last week at the Garden City Hotel. 

During the awards ceremony a special video presentation highlighted Northrop Grumman's E-2 Hawkeye program. 

The Long Island Technology Hall of Fame seeks to "recognize, honor and preserve the contributions, exceptional accomplishments, and dedication of historical figures or current leaders in science or technology who have had, or are having, an impact on Long Island." 

Last year's inductees  were Leo A. Guthart, Nikola Tesla, Boris Metlitsky and Nicholas P. Samios.
