Lt. Gov. Robert J. Duffy, who is spearheading Gov. Andrew M. Cuomo’s economic development efforts, is expected to meet privately Tuesday with Long Island executives.

Long Island Association president Kevin Law said Monday he has organized three sessions for Duffy and Kenneth Adams, incoming president of the Empire State Development Corp.

The discussions will focus on the regional economy and Cuomo’s proposed budget, including the establishment of regional economic development councils to award state grants.

Law also said he hopes to have Duffy and Adams tour a local company.

Cuomo has said Duffy will oversee the councils. Duffy, a former police officer, was mayor of Rochester before being tapped by Cuomo to run for lieutenant governor last year. Adams is the former head of the Business Council of New York State.
