The Melville couture eyeglass maker Marchon has signed a licensing agreement to market sunglasses and prescription glasses for the Italian design label Salvatore Ferragamo.

Marchon’s Salvatore Ferragamo eyewear collection, for men and women, will be in retail stores by January.

The collections will be sold worldwide in Ferragamo shops, department and specialty stores, and optical shops.

Ferragamo joins many of the world’s top designers who already work with Marchon. These include Calvin Klein Collection, Coach, Diane von Furstenberg, Fendi, Jil Sander, Lacoste, Michael Kors, Nautica, Nike and Sean John. It also makes its own line of eyewear including 3D glasses for theaters.

Marchon has regional offices in Amsterdam, Hong Kong, Tokyo and Venice, and serves more than 80,000 accounts in more than 100 countries.
